Onomatopoeia and Hyperbole

By the beach

The whoosh of the breeze
The splash of the waves
The clash of thunder and lightning
what a perfect thunderstorm

Reflection:
This is a poem for onomatopoeia.
I was able to come up with this poem by imagining
myself on the beach and hearing the sounds of nature.

Happiness

I would search across the ocean
to find that one thing
that would keep me from thinking
of all the bad things

I would run a thousand miles
to see a smiley face
that would greet me everyday
Indeed I have found happiness.

Reflection:
This is a poem for Hyperbole. The actions that are written
in the poem are exagerated and are meant to
express my emotions inside. This poem shows
that I would do everything to find happiness.
